Why remove video metadata?

Video containers can expose where and how footage was captured. Cleaning protects privacy and keeps delivery specs focused on the streams.

Protect location and device info

Remove GPS, rotation, and device identifiers that can reveal capture details.

Ship clean masters

Drop temp chapters, language tags, and muxer notes before publishing or client delivery.

Keep quality untouched

Metadata-only operations preserve codecs, bitrate, resolution, FPS, and HDR flags.

Our secure video-cleaning flow

We target container and track metadata while leaving audio/video streams intact, then delete the temporary copy immediately.

Upload over HTTPS

Pick or drop an MP4, MOV, MKV, WEBM, AVI, or FLV. Transfers are encrypted and not stored after processing.

Detect and scrub tags

We remove GPS/location atoms, creation_time, chapters, language tags, attachments, and muxer notes.

Preserve streams

Video/audio streams are not re-encoded; codecs, bitrate, resolution, and HDR flags stay the same.

Download & purge

Download the cleaned video immediately; the temporary server copy is deleted right away.

What video metadata do we remove?

We strip container and track metadata that can reveal capture details or clutter deliveries while leaving the streams untouched.

  • GPS/location atoms, creation_time, rotation/orientation flags, and device identifiers
  • Muxer/encoder tags, software notes, and custom container fields
  • Track titles, language tags, and chapter markers
  • Attachments such as cover art or preview images
  • Codec, bitrate, resolution, and HDR flags remain intact (metadata-only cleaning)
