Image metadata FAQs

Which image metadata can I see?

You can view EXIF (camera, lens, exposure, GPS), maker notes, XMP/IPTC captions and keywords, ICC profiles, dimensions/orientation, and text chunks in PNG/WEBP/GIF.

Do you change my image when reading metadata?

No. We only read the headers and metadata blocks—your pixels, color profiles, and frames stay untouched.

Why don't I see GPS data on my photo?

If the photo has no GPS tags—or they were stripped by your camera/app—we show everything available, but there may simply be no location data to display.

Can I see embedded previews or thumbnails?

Yes. If your image contains embedded previews or thumbnails in EXIF, we surface those entries so you know what ships with the file.

Will you show color management details?

We surface ICC profiles, color space hints, and orientation flags so you can prep files for web or print accurately.
